He is a geologist at Brunel University in west London, with a long history of research on Palaeozoic stromatoporoids.
He is currently developing a research programme to make a comprehensive study of Silurian stromatoporoids of the UK, and has already sampled Wenlock Edge and the Wren’s Nest (with permission from the relevant authorities). He wants to collect from Penny Hill to add to his collection in order to present the results of his study of UK Silurian stromatoporoids in an international journal publication, also with a view to providing information for public education.
